The squid is very good and tender.the workers are very nice to us and they gave us a lot of rice for FREE. The soup is spicy and delicious at the same time, the spices are PERFECT .All of the food was gone in minutes and they gave us our food and WATER in under 3 minutes.Everyone is super friendly and not loud. This is the best thing I had all day.The price is very reasonable for all of this food.and at the end they gave us free dessert .I would recommend this place if you're ever in San Jose.

The best Vietnamese seafood and roll place around. All the seafood is fresh and comes with wonderful herbs. My favorites were the clams with punchy lemongrass and the chicken or beef salad. The chicken salad (not pictured) came with so much chicken it was ridiculous! Cha gio came out really really hot and took around 10mins for it to crisp up. Bun rieu was very solid, but the huyet wasn't the best. Nam neung or snail weren't anything special but will satisfy a craving. This place has gotten much cleaner than a few years ago, although I still wouldn't call it clean.

Like others mentioned, their service is pretty bad but they lacked in, they made up in food. The food is so delicious! It's comforting, flavorful and a nostalgic feeling of a good family dinner. Definitely get their Nha Trang spring rolls and their hotpot or their canh cua soup! It was a little weird and rude when the waiter decided to go opposite direction of what we ordered. My friend specifically ordered a large size hotpot and ordered it in Vietnamese. He brought that the soup version instead and said oh the hotpot is too big for this sized group. Well, we didn't ask for that so my friend asked him to bring out what we ordered. Other than the bad service, the food was sooooo good. We enjoyed everything we ate.

This is definitely a hole in the wall Vietnamese shops. It's located near a lion market and other Vietnamese restaurants. The service was good and the food came fast. First time here and I tried the bun dau mam tom and it was absolute delicious. It definitely feeds 2-3 people and the fish paste sauce in the middle was absolutely delicious. They provide you with lots of the dry spring roll paper and water to make ur own spring rolls. It was a fun experience and would definitely come back to try more food here.

Pretty big portions at this place. One of the frequent stops for this shopping plaza with a variety of dishes to choose from. I got the pad Thai which was about $19. It was quite large and I was only able to eat half and take the other half for dinner. There was a lot of chicken and some big shrimp in there was well. Service was very fast and efficient. The interior is a bit worn down but it was still quite nice. Overall great time eating here.

I just can't quite give this place 5 stars even if the food was soooo delicious. The service was so terrible and god-awful that I may not come again. Lol. The reason I came was to show my children down memory lane where daddy and mommy ate when we dated 25 years ago. The food was good then, and it's still good now. My kids loved the bo loc lac. At first, we thought the fries might not match, but the fries were engulfed by my children. Lmao. And when I say children, my kids are already adults. They have their appetite! What my son and I really loved is the clay pot fish. So full of flavor and just the aroma alone made my tummy hungry! The lemongrass chicken was good at first bite, but afterward, it's too sweet. Thit nuong pork was a bit too thin. Could use a little more fat! Rice was soggy. All in all, good flavors and that old-fashioned authentic vietnamese service

Solid service, huge menu, great price, and delicious food, what more can you ask for? Dinner service was not as packed as I thought it would be so my family and I got seated almost immediately. I absolutely love their Canh Chua (sweet and sour tamarind catfish soup), Nem Nuong Spring Rolls (build your own), and Bo Luc Lac (Shaken Beef). For the price, you get a lot of food - just look at the size of the pork balls! If you ever run out of garnishes or vermicelli, don't hesitate to ask your server for more. The soup was flavorful and had a rich umami, I cannot recommend this enough! At the end of our dinner, we were also served a complimentary dessert (herbal jelly with chia seeds!) Every time I have come to eat here has always been a great experience. Nha Trang is a staple for my family and I highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Vietnamese food!

We were craving for family style meals that included the sweet and sour tamarind catfish soup and braised catfish in a clay pot. My friend who's a local, recommended this place. We got: -sweet and sour tamarind catfish soup -braised cat fish clay pot -salt and pepper wings -shaken beef w pasta -pork spring rolls All dishes tasted fantastic. Everything was so tasty. Reminds me of home. The pork spring rolls were huge! Each roll came with its own sauce. The locals compare the sauce equivalent to Brodard put I disagree. We were the first table to get seated when they opened at 5. When we left at 7:30, every single table was occupied including the tables outdoor. Definitely a staple restaurant that the locals go to. In the end, they gave us complimentary dessert. The dessert was herbal jelly with chia seeds.
